Peach

• Itching or tingling in the mouth and throat
• Swelling of the lips, tongue, and throat
• Hives or skin rash
• Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
• Nasal congestion or sneezing
• Anaphylaxis in severe cases, including difficulty breathing and drop in blood pressure

Cross-reactivity is common in individuals with peach allergy, particularly those with Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). They may also react to:

• Other stone fruits like cherries, plums, and apricots
• Apples and pears
• Almonds and other nuts, as they are related to peaches
• Foods containing birch pollen, if the allergy is associated with birch pollen sensitivity

• If you experience allergic reactions after eating peaches or foods containing peach.
• If you have known allergies to related fruits, tree nuts, or birch pollen.
• If you have a family history of fruit allergies or pollen allergies.
• Before introducing peaches to a young child’s diet, especially if there’s a family history of allergies.

• Avoid peaches and products containing peaches, including juices, jams, and flavorings.
